What a wonderful meeting we had today. It was joyful, fun, we learned new things, we got to know each other a little better and we left with joy in our hearts, twinkles in our eyes, looking forward to the meeting next month. We also grew in God’s grace.
Today was D-Day (diaper day) so we brought in packages of newborn diapers to be given to ‘First Care Family Resources’. This is something that is always needed and appreciated.
One of our ministries with FNF is the giving out of ‘Jesus Cares Bears’. These are given out to widows in nursing homes, in the hospital, or those who are sick and not able to get out.
Our guest speaker today was Pastor Dave Luster, of So. Palm Community Church. He encouraged us to keep helping each other and uplifting one another.
Peggy Heflin found lovely ‘Gratitude Journals’ for us to write in, things we are thankful to God for. ‘Jesus is our BFF” (Best Friend Forever). Writing in this journal is a way to uplift our spirits. Thanking God is so good for us, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
While we are enjoying our delicious and bountiful luncheon, we are able to view some of God’s glorious creation.
Again, we wish to thank all the ladies for the diapers for the precious newborns that these will go to through ‘First Care Family Resources’. Diaper Day was a success. The babies and their Mom’s will be very thankful for this gift.
Already we are looking forward to our meeting next month, which will be “Christmas in July”. Hope to see you there.
If you’d like to come to our next meeting. please contact Dotti Ackerman.
